Options for Preventing Utility Disconnections

The utility bills go out on the first of each month, earlier if you signup for email billing. Late fees apply on the 16th for unpaid accounts. Disconnects are usually on the 20th at 1:00 p.m. The late fee date and disconnect date will vary due to the dates falling on a holiday or Friday. The due dates are printed on the utility bill each month.

There are options for our citizens to prevent disconnection.

  1. Call before you are disconnected and make arrangements to pay by the end of the month. This arrangement can be made every other month.
  2. Get your bill under $30.00. Disconnects are for $30.00 and up.
  3. Speak to the City Administrator to see if you qualify for a promissary note with extended payment arrangements.
  4. Call 211 for regional assistance.
  5. Contact Ministerial Alliance for assistance. 

Email billing will get your bills to you faster and account drafts guarantee you will never have a late fee or be disconnected.
